Laying the foundations to build generational wealth starts with a globally connected financial advice firm with its finger on the pulse.

The change marks a milestone in the firm’s evolution, reflecting its ambition to lead the nation’s private wealth sector into a new era.

As part of one of the largest family-owned wealth management firms in the world backed by The Princely Family of Liechtenstein, the group provides wealth advice and portfolio management services to high-net-worth clients and family offices, not-for-profit organisations and financial institutions.

With more than $AU600 billion in client assets globally and more than 5,000 employees across 30 offices worldwide, the firm manages more than $AU42 million in client assets in Australia alone.

For clients, the rebrand reinforces the ability to access global investment options, intergenerational wealth expertise and sustainable investment solutions.

Investors still hunting for solid financial advice can take heart in the fact that Australia has one of the most sophisticated yet tightly regulated advice and retirement systems in the world. Fuelled by long-term tailwinds and confidence in the sector’s resilience, the sector’s maturity continues to draw interest from private equity and strategic buyers alike, according to Adviser Ratings

Its latest report shows that several emerging topics have gained significant traction among clients seeking financial advice. Cryptocurrency interest, the international wealth transfer and impact investments based on regulatory changes are driving new enquiries among Australians seeking support with their financial plans.

The need to address retirement planning, the potential for investment and property, estate planning and better long-term planning remain key themes driving enquiries for financial advice, the survey found.

To celebrate the launch of LGT Wealth Management Australia, the firm will launch a series of exclusive events in October, including the globally recognised LGT Climate Conference at Taronga Zoo in Sydney.
