Susan is the Principal Adviser at AgeWise Financial Planning, which provides specialist advice for retirement living and aged care solutions. AgeWise is based in Greensborough, but also offers in-home or Zoom consultations.

Susan is passionate about ensuring that clients understand their options and make the best decisions when making major life moves.

She started her career in the corporate world, working for 20 years as an engineer, project manager and product manager. She then decided she was ready for a change, wanting to work with and help people on a one-to-one basis. So she re-trained and has been working as a Financial Planner since 2011, specialising in retiree and aged care clients, launching AgeWise Financial Planning in 2018.

Susan’s Financial Planning qualifications include a Diploma of Financial Services (Financial Planning), an Advanced Diploma of Financial Services (Financial Planning) and she is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®). Susan also holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree and a Masters in Business Administration.

Initial consultation fee is $750 if held in your home, or $550 if you come to our Greensborough office or we meet by Zoom or phone. After the initial consultation, we can confirm what the best next step is. This may be a Strategy Paper (standard fee of $1,650) or detailed advice. Our standard detailed advice fee is $3,850 (but this can vary depending on complexity).

We were recommended to see Susan when our parents were needing to go from a retirement village to permanent aged care.

Our initial appointment was via zoom which suited my elderly parents as they could be in the comfort of their own home.

At the initial appointment Susan clearly explained the not so simple process of entering aged care and the different options available depending on your financial situation.

As Susan seemed so knowledgeable in this field, we then went ahead with a further appointment where Susan had prepared a very detailed strategy paper.

Susan was always very contactable and happy to assist with the many questions we had, she did a wonderful job negotiating on our behalf.

My mother is now settling into her chosen aged care facility which may not have been possible without the advice we had received from Susan.

I would definitely recommend Agewise Financial Planning.
