You can be financially successful and still feel like you don't have a clear financial plan.
You might be earning a strong income, have a growing super balance, investments, a mortgage and a family — but still find yourself asking:
Are we investing enough?
Are we taking too much risk?
Should we be paying down the mortgage or investing?
Is our super actually structured properly?
How much do we really need to be financially independent?
Could we afford to make work optional earlier than we think?
These are the sorts of questions I help clients work through.
I'm a Principal and Certified Financial Planner® at First Financial, and I've been working in financial services in Australia and the UK since 2008.
I primarily work with successful families and high-income professionals who have built a solid financial position and want to make better decisions about what comes next.
My role isn't simply to manage investments or tell you how much you should have in super.
It's to understand the bigger picture — your family, career, lifestyle, priorities, goals and concerns — and then build a financial strategy around what actually matters to you.
That can involve:
- Building and managing long-term investments
- Structuring and maximising superannuation
- Managing risk and protecting your family's wealth
- Balancing debt reduction with wealth creation
- Planning for financial independence and retirement
- Making the most of significant income and accumulated wealth
- Navigating major financial decisions and life transitions
- Helping you understand when you have enough — and what that means for the life you want to live
My philosophy is relatively simple:
Understand where you are.
Understand where you want to go.
Work out what matters most.
Then build a strategy that gives you the confidence and flexibility to get there.
I don't believe financial advice should be unnecessarily complicated.
Good advice should give you clarity, confidence and choices.
One of the most rewarding parts of my role is helping clients reach the point where they realise:
“Work is becoming optional.”
That's ultimately what financial planning is about for me — not simply accumulating more money, but helping people use their wealth to create the life they want.
