George Tsakiris

I’m George, the founder of Advance Financial Planning. With 20 years in the profession and qualifications including Certified Financial Planner, SMSF Specialist Adviser, Accredited Behavioural Finance Professional, and Chartered Retirement Planning Counsellor and a Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning—my focus is simple: helping people live the best life possible.

Our vision guides everything we do. We work closely with clients to uncover what truly matters to them, using thoughtful analysis and detailed modelling to show clear pathways forward. This helps people understand what’s possible, what it will take, and how to make the right trade‑offs—both individually and as couples. By breaking down the gap between what clients accept and what they believe is possible, we give them clarity, direction and permission to live the life they want now, not “one day”.

We believe that removing life’s “uncontrollables”—the stressors and uncertainties that sit in the background—is key to creating a deep sense of security. And security is the foundation for living your best life.

I live locally in Research with my wife and two sons, and we’re actively involved in the Eltham Wildcats Basketball Club and the Research Junior Football Club. Staying fit and keeping a healthy mindset are important parts of my life.
