Hi, I’m Dean Watts — a licensed Financial Planner, father of two, and former maintenance fitter with 15 years in the coal mining industry. My journey into financial advice wasn’t traditional — and that’s exactly what sets me apart.

For over a decade, I worked in mining and trades, clocking long shifts while also running my own personal training business. It was during that time I realised something confronting: people were sacrificing their health to earn money — only to later spend that money trying to buy back their health — emotionally, physically, and financially.

That observation became a turning point. I made it my mission to help everyday Aussies break that cycle — to build wealth without burnout. I returned to study and became a financial planner so I could offer real advice to real people — especially those who’ve always felt like financial planning wasn’t “for them.”
