Riley Jan

Riley is a Partner and Financial Adviser at Firstlight Financial Planning.

His path into advice began in September 2018, when he joined Hard Line Wealth as an Associate while still completing his legal training. Following admission to the legal profession in 2020, Riley practised at generalist firms on the Gold Coast and in Byron Bay across civil litigation, insurance law, criminal law and sports law, working in both professions simultaneously until 2021. In 2022, he completed a Master of Financial Planning at Griffith University.

Riley is a graduate of Griffith University and Bond University. He holds a Master of Financial Planning, a Bachelor of Laws, a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Economics, and a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice. In 2025, Riley completed his SMSF Specialist Adviser accreditation with the SMSF Association and became a Partner at Cruz Financial Planning, which rebranded to Firstlight Financial Planning in 2026.
