Mike Thackray

Hi, my name is Mike Thackray and I am with the Enlightened Financial Solutions (EFS) team based in Mackay QLD.

EFS was founded by James Wortley in late 2007 and now look after approximately 500 clients.

We are now proudly part of the Viridian Financial Group.

Our core business philosophy - "It's all about YOU"

Our main focus is working with people that are nearing retirement or have been retired for some time.

We also have excellent capacity for helping younger clients as well (in areas such as personal insurance needs, budget/cashflow, wealth creation etc).

Our main clientele live in the Mackay/Whitsundays region. We also look after clients in other parts of QLD and interstate as well.

My background - banking and finance roles back to 1989 when I was offered the opportunity to participate in the NAB Graduate program.

Since 2008 I have worked as a Financial Adviser (NAB 2008-2014, WBC 2014-2019 and EFS 2019-present).

We are strictly fee for advice only. Six fully qualified financial advisers plus another completing his professional year.

Centrelink clients are a very big focus and we have one adviser whose full time focus is Centrelink and Aged Care in the team (Mike McLeod!).

We offer a complimentary first appointment to prospective clients and lots of flexibility for when and how we meet and interact.

Our CSM (admin and support) team are very experienced and all of the team love helping our clients live their best life.

Outside of work - my interests are family, boating, fishing, sport, wine and music!
