Paul Ahearne

I am the managing partner of the Locumsgroup group of companies. I have worked in the accounting and financial services industry for over three decades.

At Locumsgroup we help our clients make smart decisions on how to manage their money. Locumsgroup is a multi-disciplined accounting and financial services practice.

I am an accountant and a financial adviser, and I am a Registered Tax Agent. I am a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. I was nominated by Zurich Australia for the AFA Financial Adviser of the Year Award in 2022.

As the managing partner of Locumsgroup, I am responsible for the planning, coordination, and implementation of strategic solutions for our clients’ tax planning and financial affairs, and the provision of advice to achieve clear financial objectives. Locumsgroup seeks to achieve risk-adjusted investment returns in our clients' wealth management activities.

In addition to being the principal of Locumsgroup, I have had extensive executive training experience: I have spoken at a number of international conferences, and conducted and led training workshops. I have been interviewed on Sky Business Channel as a commentator on personal investment and financial management.

While completing my MBA at the Graduate School of Business, UTS I was selected to represent my university at an international strategic planning competition.

Principle specialties: Leading-edge expertise in tax planning strategies, business structures, wealth management, and wealth creation. Outcomes are achieved through making smart decisions regarding the strategic allocation of funds across all asset classes; consideration of tax efficiency; the establishment of appropriate risk-management structures; and estate planning.

I am an active athlete and competed at an elite level in sports in my early 20s. In more recent times I participate in sports to assist charitable causes. I ran the New York marathon to raise money for the Sloan Kettering Cancer Institute in November 2009; and competed in a Corporate Fighter boxing match in September 2015 to raise money for Livin' a charity dedicated to the treatment of mental health. I won the boxing match and I am pleased to advise that I have now retired, undefeated, from the boxing business!!
