We work in the areas of self managed superannuation, public sector superannuation, wealth creation, salary sacrifice, redundancy, estate and risk management planning.

Our values based approach brings together technical expertise and the human touch to create a solution tailored towards your overall life goals. We are a fee for service business who do not receive ongoing or upfront commissions on investment products to provide a transparent service offering for our clients.

Scott has been in the financial services industry since 2000 and prior to starting Money Mechanics was senior financial planner for another national firm. Scott is an Authorised Representative (ASIC No. 262368) of Infocus Securities Australia Pty Ltd ABN 47 097 797 049 AFSL No. 236523. Scott is a Registered Tax Practitioner (Financial Services) Tax Agent Number 24653755.

In 2005 he became the first Registered Life Planner (RLP) in Australia with The Kinder Institute of Life Planning, after completing the EVOKE training program in the United States and a 12 month mentorship program. In 2009 he completed training with The Money Coaching Institute and is enjoys learning all he can about the Life Planning methodology and the psychology around people’s relationship with money.

Scott has been awarded the internationally recognised CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® (CFP) certification through the Financial Planning Association of Australia SMSF Specialist Advisor® (SSA) with the Self Managed Super Fund Association (SMSFA).

Scott is passionate about financial literacy and education and has been running courses at the Canberra Institute of Technology (CIT) and Laneway Learning Melbourne on Financial Planning and Money topics since 2007.

In 2010 completed his Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment.

Scott sits on not for profit community boards and is a true believer in a ‘practicing what I preach‘ mentality. As a result, Scott has investments in the property and share markets along with having his own family Self Managed Super Fund while also enjoying work-life balance. He believes everyone should try to spend time enjoying the best of career advancement and work life as well as their family life.

We offer clients an exploration coffee and chat if you would like to discuss your requirements. No advice is providing during this session. We work with clients for one off coaching and advice work as well as ongoing advice with fixed fee retainer agreements.
