Since Genene joined Omniwealth in 2014 she has been working with a range of clients including high income professionals and high net worth individuals and their families. She is enjoying working with younger executives planning for the future and their financial freedom, and Wealth Management and Investors clients with an interest in direct property investment.
Genene is a CPA Financial Planning Specialist, and has attained a Bachelor of Commerce and Advanced Diploma of Financial Planning.

"I thought the service was poor for the price. I got a bog standard computer output. the IT systems at the offices never seemed to work. Genene was always complaining about it but it happened each meeting. the explanations were overly simplistic. I now understand why you get the money up front. I will probably not use very much of the advice. There was a lot of on-selling other over priced services that OMNIWealth offered. moneysoft is a good tool."

I have been trying to contact you since before Christmas without success and realise now that may have been because you are unhappy. I am sorry that we had not been able to connect beforehand to discuss any concerns, however I realise that you are very busy.
We have recently transitioned from one software system to another, and whilst we anticipated some distractions and teething problems, it’s unfortunate that a few of our clients were affected. The recent upgrade and improvements we have made to our IT systems have eliminated the problems and improved our advice services and reporting overall. I am sorry that this delayed the delivery of my advice to you in particular and created a poor impression of our systems; I also note that you thought the explanation was overly simplistic, however I prefer to use your valuable time focussing on suitable strategies for you, not administration.
You were my first client to receive our newly developed Financial Plan document, which was substantially modernised and included easy to following summaries and pictographs. I’m sorry you didn’t find it appealing, I haven’t had any similar feedback from other clients, but will certainly pass yours on to the developer. This may have made the advice look a little cookie cutter however we take a great deal of time to get to know our clients prior to recommending a strategy, I can assure you your advice is not generic and takes into consideration your personal situation first and foremost.
I find your comment about “probably not use very much of the advice” an interesting one. In discussing relevant personal and superannuation strategies and working with you to formulate your bespoke plan, it was evident that your High Growth risk profile aligned with what was required to fill the gap between where you are today and where you want to be in retirement, and therefore growth assets such as property and shares were recommended.
Whilst I acknowledge that you have every right to speak to anyone you wish about the advice, as I mentioned quite early in the education sessions, other people aren’t always on the same page as you - they may be at a different stage of life or have different experiences that affect how they think about investing and/or taking on risk. Perhaps in canvassing your friends, family and other professionals you have suffered from some buyer’s remorse, I hope that this will not stop you from executing on your plans as I stand by my recommendations to you.
I am dismayed by your comment that “there was a lot of on-selling other overpriced services”. From our first meeting I recall letting you know that we are an integrated services business with you at the centre of all that we do. All of my clients who are busy professionals just like you, love this approach as it saves them a lot of time, and time is money.
There is certainly no obligation to use any other of the Omniwealth services if you do not wish to. In your case, you wanted to meet with our property research manager and mortgage broker, both of whom are paid via a commission only if you were to proceed with a purchase, which is paid by the vendor or bank; and a specialist estate planning lawyer who provided a quote. I apologise if you feel you were being upsold or placed under any pressure to buy, however I stand by our team and say that you received a great deal of value added service and research at no additional cost over and above your plan strategy fee.
